Open Eyes -- Chapter One
Every bone in Olivier's body ached. Carson wasn't showing any sign of slowing down though. He'd been giving her quite the beating for some time now. Olivier tried to move, but she hurt too much. Carson had thrown her into the ground hard enough it had formed a large dust cloud and a small crater. Now she just laid there, barely able to breathe, bleeding profoundly from her left temple. She was about to just give up, when she remembered who she was named after.
"Survival of the fittest.", she whispered and got to her feet.
"HAHAHA! You're still alive?!" Carson was standing a few feet away, smirking like a mad man, "How have you not given up yet?"
Olivier located her sword. It was lying on the ground between her and Carson. She ran at him, picked up her sword, and swung at his head. But she missed, he grabbed the collar of her shirt and threw her over his shoulder into a nearby boulder. He grabbed her around the neck, "You should've come to our side, Olivier. You would've been spared. Our plans required sacrifice, it's necessarily. And now, I'm going to watch the life fade from those pretty blue eyes as I snap your neck."
Olivier struggled against his grip, but he was stronger than she was. She stopped moving and went limp. Carson let go of her neck and let her slump to the ground. He turned and started walking away, but was meet with a sword through the gut.
"Sacrifice?" Olivier hissed, "You poor souls know nothing of sacrifice. We were friends once, Carson, but now its come to this. I hope God spares you, because I wouldn't. " She pulled her sword back out of his stomach and let him fall to the ground dead. This was war now. She had to regroup with the others, she needed to find Tony. It was time.

But maybe she was getting ahead of herself. How was she to find him anyways? They hadn't had contact with each other for months. How had it come to this? To war? What was happening to her? To this world? Not only that... but Olivier found herself worrying about Christina...
'I need to think back' Olivier thought, 'I need to think back to when this all started. But I don't have much time. I'll have to make this quick.'
